Not a question - a comment - not the same information as google when using as search engine, google gave accurate info but not Mozilla!

I wanted to get the phone number for a particular clinic at my local hospital. I tried every which way on Mozilla and the info was not forthcoming - the search engine being used was Google.

I then went on to Internet Explorer and used Google and the first thing that came up had a list of the phone numbers for every clinic. Why did you not produce this?? Clearly when it says Google on Mozilla one is not getting the same service as with Google on Internet Explorer.

I have only just started using Mozilla having read about the 'bug' which is floating about on Internet Explorer - so this result is not a very encouraging start for something which claims to be the biggest in the world!!

Just read your suggestions - much too complicated for my 84 year old brain and not being enormously computer literate!! Any other simpler suggestions? And what are plug-ins??

Don't much care for 'automatically' doing something I don't understand properly. I know I'm a pest but you will have to bear with me!!

Google isn't just one thing for everyone worldwide...

Google personalizes its results to you, based on your location and its accumulated knowledge about you. Google can connect that with you based on either: (1) if you log in to your Google/Gmail account, or (2) the tracking cookie Google sets in your browser when you use its site.

For these reasons, you often will see some differences between results in different browsers, or even in the same browser if you compare a regular window and a "private" window (private in the sense that your browser doesn't share the old cookies with Google in that window).

Still, if you are doing a search that matches one place, you should be able to find what you're looking for.

If you're curious about what makes Google tick, they have a forum for web search questions here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/websearch

In order to post there, you do need a Google/Gmail account.
