more options

• I cannot see tabs at top of myscreen(just a sliver); buttons missing • new +/- Scaling "button" is humungous, takes too much space • My Tab Groups have disappeared • Scroll Bars are hard to grab; too slim • there's no bar at top to move window about; either that, or it just won't budge

Why oh why did I succumb once again to the allure and promise of fantastimagoric new features only to be dashed upon the rocks. I had FF set up perfectly, finally, except for repeated session losses.

thanks for listening

There is a whole "tweaking guide" to make FF29 look like older Firefox, see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-make-new-firefox-look-like-old-firefox
If you do not want that hassle for whatever reason , there is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox
I did revert back to FF28 too but at my own risk. Be aware that if you revert back to an older version, Firefox is not secure anymore.
