Two days ago, when I opened my e-mail, instead of my e-mail lists filling my screen, I now have some kind of Thunderbird advertisement filling about 1/4 of my screen at the bottom of my emails. How do it get rid of it? I have no use for it. Thank you

From the menu bar select Tools-Options_general

Clear the box for displaying the start page.

No menu bar? Press the alt key.
