I have just changed my email address. Can I still get messages addresses to my OLD email address?

Yes you can add multiple addresses to Thunderbird. Indeed that's why most of us use it instead of a webmail portal in a browser; you can work with all your email accounts in one place, with consistent presentation and tools, regardless of who provides the email account.

In Thunderbird's traditional menu, File|New|Existing Mail Account.

Or right-click an existing account, select Settings. In the window that appears, click on Äccount Actions" and then the "New Account" option.

If using the new "hamburger" Application Menu button in the toolbar, click the menu button, hover over New Message, select Add existing mail account.

Any of these will get you to a wizard that adds a new account to Thunderbird. Ignore refeneces to a "new" account; you want to add an existing account.

I should add that of course you can add a new address. The question is what happened to your old address? If you use the address given to you by your ISP and you've switched to a different ISP then in most cases the old address will die.

Have tried your suggestion. It didn't work as I suspect from your second response my original email has indeed died.

Thanks for your suggestions in any case = MIke
