in firefox v35 about:config settings, camera.control.face_detection is enabled by default.

what is this setting? it is not documented anywhere on mozilla.org or the web - at least that i could find.

This is used for camera control function for firefox hello . by this function the app is asking of accessing the camera function. So, either the user can allow to access the camera by clicking allow or deny to restrict it. This is a very important privacy feature which stops websites from being able to spy on users without their knowledge.
