The Awesome Bar searches the web with default search provider. Functionality not explained to users. No control exposed in GUI to enable/disable web search functionality. Privacy issue. Should be explained. Should have Awesome Bar search functionality choice during install. Should have settings exposed in GUI. The about:config will allow you to disable Awesome Bar search by changing keyword.enabled to False. Previous versions of Firefox had non-functional option to enable/disable Awesome Bar web search.
