In trying to migrate mail from my server, Verizon, to Thunderbird, I'm having all sorts of problems. I've entered the password and check the remember password box but nothing works.

Chosen solution

check that the password is actually saved. I think it will be and your getting a misleading error message. Tools menu (alt+T) > Options >security > password and click the saved password box.

Thanks Matt. That's exactly what we did and it is now working just fine!

I have the problem too. But a further problem is that the Save Password box is no longer there nor can it be found in Options. So any bright ideas out there.
