How can I uninstall Mapquest toolbar and revert to Firefox toolbar?

more options

In seeking map directions I somehow installed the mapquest toolbar. How do I get rid of it. Simple uninstall via Windows add/remove program on Control Panel doesn't work because offending toolbar does not show up on list.

Often an unwanted toolbar is displayed by an extension. Could you check for that on the Add-ons page? Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right. None of those came with Firefox so if you do not recall installing them and/or do not find them useful, disable or remove.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Does that flush the bar?
