I was browsing Amazon.com and Firefox crash on some of their web page but not all. It doesn't ask if I want to send a crash report so I don't really know what the problem is. So is there a way to find these "unsubmitted" crash report? I am running on windows 7.

The error message I got about the crash is"

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that start with "bp-".

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the report ID of recent crash reports on the "Help > Troubleshooting Information" page (about:support).

  • click the "All Crash Reports" button on this page to open the about:crashes page and see all crash reports.

Alternatively you can open about:crashes via the location/address bar.

If a line on the about:crashes page doesn't start with "bp-" then click the line to submit the report and the link will be updated and gets a "bp-" prefix if the report is submitted successfully. Please do not add the "bp-" prefix yourself.

I tried "about:support" and "about:crashes" but they only have submitted crash report. They don't have never submitted report. Is there a way to "ask" Firefox to submit a crash report, instead of waiting for it to pop up that window and giving you the option if you want to send a crash report?

If all reports have been submitted then that is OK and you can post the IDs of a few recent crash reports that start with a "bp-" prefix.

No, they were never submitted because firefox never had that pop-up window and asked me if I wanted to submit a crash report or not. This is why I ask if there is a way to get "unsubmitted" crash report so I can know what the problem is (or manually "ask" firefox to generate a crash report and submit it.)

If there are no crash reports showing in about:crashes and you also do not the the crash reporter pop-up then you may not have crashes, but you have have experienced other issues like a hang.

Try to use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.

  • 3-bar Menu button > Exit (Power button)
  • Windows: File > Exit
  • Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox
  • Linux: File > Quit

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" then try to disable this feature.

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings

I tried "Windows: File > Exit." But firefox just show up "not responding." I had to force close it. That's the crash. I don't use ""Clear history when Firefox closes."
