When I click [Confirm Security Exception], on send/receive E-mail,nothing happens. I read the others that have the same problem and when I added mine, I was told to start it over again, so here it is, over again. 4 days and wondering still, how to ask the question.

It was fine, BEFORE the last Tbird upgrade.

This is NOT, as described in other similar posts, about toy-mail, it's about real email. Toy-mail= Gmail, YahooMail, Hotmail, LiveMail, DeadMail whatever isn't E-mail.

How can I get around even using the Tbird certificate scrutiny, or at least, make Exception, except it?

Mod - thanks for the long delay again. Appreciated.

The exception dialog gives you an error code. What is the error code?

Hi - thanks christi for the response: It does not give an error code. Clicking "Confirm Security Exception" does nothing but delay email for days while sorting this out. Please see image attached. Thanks. Looking forward to getting email soon.

Inspect the certificate - see attached screenshot for instructions:

Who is the issuer of the cert?

What is the 'Issued To' information?

You've obfuscated the server you're trying to access in your screenshot above. So you'll have to compare the information yourself.

I have 34 email addresses that all work/ed. This one worked as well. Now, after the Tbird upgrade, I get this, and can no longer make the Exception work.

There is no 'Issued To' information anywhere, just a dead window with the only button that works, is "Cancel". The others, Get Certificate, View and "Confirm Security Exception", do nothing. Cancel works!

Thanks -
