When I try to upload images to a site which stores my images, the upload box appears with a choice of places to upload from. Problem I cannot select any of these so I cannot select files to upload. It is not a system error because I tried to upload with Opera and there are no problems. What changed in the latest firefox update to cause this.

Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
