Disable add-on signing not available in Firefox 48?
Hi all,
I updated firefox to version 48 today and to my dismay found that it is no longer possible to disable add-on signing, not even for specific addons.
For me this is a showstopper because I am using Firefox at work and I absolutely MUST be able to use the F5 Networks Host Plugin to access a legacy VPN. This plugin has no signature and there is no update provided (yet?) by the network I am connecting to.
This is reason enough for me to stop updating Firefox.
I have gone back to Firefox 47.0.1 which allows me to disable add-on verification and I'm sticking to that version unless someone can tell me there is another way?
Thanks

You could use the "unbranded" build, which is labeled "Nightly".

I use multiple computers and I don't have time to muck about with special versions. I want to upgrade normally and I want it to just work!
Really, we need an exception list, similar to what we have for certificates.
