Downloading Quantum killed access to embedded videos (do not appear), and Disqus forum. Mozilla sign on does not work, cannot get a password reset email. ??

After downloading Firefox Quantum, many web sites (not all) no longer display videos. There are just blank spaces where the videos would be. Disqus forum is not available (sign on screen pops up for a fraction of a second and disappears). Both of these elements are vital, but now missing.

Update Video Card Drivers, Main issue of HTML5 Video/sound uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.2 with a Full Version Installer

The above reply is a joke, right?

And why would you reply with that. ....the joke is when instructions are not followed to correct issues and known solutions for issues are given.

  • Update your Video Card Drivers

Follow the instructions. Or try this : Please Refresh but do this 1st:

then

TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:

If is your Profile :

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Do you get an error message in the player rectangle, or nothing loads there?

Could you rule out an issue with blocked content:

(1) Built-in Tracking Protection feature.

Do you see a shield icon toward the left end of the toolbar when this problem hits? More info on how to use the shield to manage blocking: What happened to Tracking Protection?.

(2) Content blocking extension such as Adblock Plus, Blur, Disconnect, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix.

Some of these provide toolbar buttons to manage blocked content in a page.

You can view, disable, and often configure or remove extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions that Firefox installs on its own are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything that could be blocking content from other sites ("third party" content)? If in doubt, disable.

Any improvement?
