I have just installed Thunderbird and want to move all my email from Windows Live Mail to Thunderbird. I have exported my email messages and email accounts from Windows Live Mail.

Step 2 in Importing Windows Mail Messages is to create a folder in "Local Folders" to hold your imported mail and select it. But when I go to File->New->Folder nothing happens. Under "All Folders" there is nothing.

Have added the ImportExportTools to Thunderbird, but when I select it all of the import functions are greyed out except for import profile. How would I export a profile from Windows Live Mail to import into Thunderbird?

Also have not seen a way to import my email accounts from the Windows Live Mail exported accounts.

Right click the folder and select new folder or new sub folder? The new option is only available on folders that can have new folders or new sub folders.
