I am using a brand new Dell XPS 13 9370 less then a week old. . Twice now I have left my machine unattended for a long period of time with the Firefox Quantum program on screen. The first time was for 30 minutes, and then second for 3 hours. When the machine resumes out of sleep mode the screen goes black and I am unable to use the machine and am forced to do a hard reset to restart the machine. I have a second monitor plugged in both times. an Insignia 32" flat screen TV that is several years old. One time the TV screen went black and I was able to recover by unplugging the screen before the problem migrated to the laptop screen. Since I have uninstalled the Firefox program this issue has not re-occurred and it has been three days.

Many have reported issues with Firefox running when the computer goes to sleep.

Is there a reason you leave the browser running? If not, shut it down before leaving.
