cannot login to bank, seems not to send login or passwords. get connection error message from bank
cannot login to co-op bank in UK. bank always sends back 'minor connection error, please press OK'. but still no connection. bank say they have no problems their end but are looking into it. seems to tie in with firefox Quantum 60.0.1 (64 bit) upgrade. Might be coincidence but also MS10 updated recently as well.

Also - using bank supplied trusteer endpoint as addition security
What is the exact error message?
Make sure you are not blocking content.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}
the error message is: Sorry there seems to have been a minor connection problem. Please press OK. the tracking icon does not appear. the only blocking I am doing is Adblockplus.
If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version
You see the shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case content is blocked by Tracking Protection.
- click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection
- check the Web Console for more detail about what content is blocked by Tracking Protection
- "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).
"Remove the Cookies" from websites that cause problems:
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Data
"Clear the Cache":
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
still does not fix problem.
Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

I have managed to start firefox in safe mode and it seems to work. I will test other websites that require logins and securedata transfer and then will try to check the addons to see which one is a problem
Please let us know the outcome.
i have disabled the bank's suggested security extra; [IBM trusteer] and it seems to work. i wonder if trusteer and firefox have an issue
That was very good work. Well done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.
You should inform the bank and Trusteer-of this issue.
