I have visual issues. I switched to the Opera (after using Mozilla browsers since the Netscape days) browser because it has Reader Mode, where you can enlarge text with two fingers, and when you do it word wraps the text to the screen. Very cool, and works with most text in web pages, blogs, news feeds, etc. Is there an add-on for Firefox that does that?

Firefox for Android has a built-in Reader View, but it doesn't work on all page layouts. When it is available, there should be a special icon in the address bar. This article has more information: View articles in Reader View on Firefox for Android.

I don't know whether there are any add-ons that expand that to other pages (or work in their own way on other pages). You can search for add-ons through the menu. See: Find and install extensions on Firefox for Android.

Thanks for the reply. The really useful thing in Opera is the word wrap, so you don't constantly scroll left to right with each line you read. Reader View helps strip away clutter, but isn't so good at enlarging the text.

It seems odd that only Opera does this. Id think it is a useful feature, especially for the visually impaired.

Thanks again.

It's hard to find a good add-on quickly. This one seems helpful to me on some pages, although it can be a bit slow to respond when I zoom back out:

Fennec TextWrap: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/fftextwrap/

If you find another useful one, feel free to update this thread.

Sorry to have started a new thread. I was unable to find my old thread on the mobile version of this site. a link said I had 2 questions and another link below it said I had 1 answer. clicking on either only gave me a blank screen!

Anyway, thanks for the tip. I tried this add-on, and sad to report the add on didn't work. it tried to enlarge text on about 1/2 of the websites that Opera can enlarge, and only wraps some of them. But it has a fatal flaw in that it also enlarges the headers and footers, and if the text is anywhere close to those they take over entire screen.

Still looks like Opera is still the and only game in town if you need to enlarge text and have it wrap.

Thanks for the update. So Opera for Android can zoom one paragraph or one section instead of the entire page? Interesting.

With Opera Android, you pinch and zoom just like you'd expect, on text in a web page, blog, etc. The text enlarges, and the words wrap to the screen. It works about 90% of the time. Some pages don't zoom at all, and im not sure why. but mostly it works. and as you scoll down the page it's all in the same zoomed, word wrapped text mode.
