I recently had a windows update (I'm on windows 10 pro N) which made certain videos on youtube unwatchable. After googling I found some stuff and reinstalled the Media Feature Pack for my windows version, and restarted my pc after installing it. After this it wasn't possible at all to look at any videos you youtube since the page would simply crash every time I tried to view it, the same happened for some other websites.

This is the crash report: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/b09a446e-0348-4f7e-9ad4-369350190227#tab-details

If someone could help me out it would be appreciated,

Thanks in advance

hi cwmalonda, unfortunately this kind of issue is indeed a problem for users of windows N editions after the update to windows 10 1809 & installing the media feature pack.

this workaround should avoid the tab crashes: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named media.wmf.vp9.enabled. double-click it and change its value to false, then restart firefox once.
