Hmm, when I call up a YouTube video in Chrome, I get a pop-out directly into the YouTube app. Definitely the app is more more full-featured than the experience in a browser.

Firefox doesn't do an automatic pop-out, you have to tap the Android icon in the address bar to open the video in the app.

When I view a YouTube video embedded in a page on another site, there are different players for the same page/video in Chrome and Firefox. I suspect this difference is Google's choice and I am not aware of a way to override it.

Is this with Android Firefox or desktop Firefox for Windows, Mac, or Linux ?.

If on Android a Mod can move this thread to Firefox for Android section.
