Is there a way to access the Firefox Preview Tab Collections feature on any build (stable, beta or otherwise) of Firefox for desktop? If not, is this planned for the future?

Hi Nick

Thank you for your question and your interest in what we are doing with Firefox Preview.

Although you can currently "pin" tabs to the home screen in Firefox, I appreciate that you cannot create different "collections" in the same way that you can with Firefox Preview.

Collections is a new feature that we are hoping to bring in with Firefox Preview and please appreciate that this app is still in development. If it proves to be popular on Android, it might be something that is considered as a feature in a future update to the desktop version.

I understand that Firefox is a team effort and no one proponent of a new feature gets to call the shots; however, it makes me a bit nervous that Firefox users may miss out on a useful desktop feature if that feature doesn't prove to be a good fit for mobile.

Imagine if a great mobile-specific feature like positioning the address bar at the bottom of the screen never gained traction because it had to prove its success on desktop Firefox first.

I honesty believe that tab collections are more useful on desktop than mobile, and hope that any lack of success on the mobile side doesn't cancel the desktop implementation.
