unfortunately changing your password purges all the data to maintain privacy just in case your account was compromised :(

The password of the Firefox Account is used to encrypt your personal data locally before uploading this data to the Sync server, so on the Sync server there is only encrypted data stored. Only this password can decrypt this data, so if you reset/change this password then it isn't possible to decrypt the data stored on the Sync server and data is thus removed. For losing the password there is the possibility to generate a recovery key on beforehand that can be used instead of the password.

But how to do it? That instruction is not preceise, i've got recovery key but there is no filed where I can put one of them. I've create separate quesiton for that but not response as for now - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1286318
