When setting up Tbsync to sync with google calendar on thunderbird 78 I can get as far as Tbsync asking for my email address. I then enter it and click next then I am asked to enter my email again. I tried to find the answer but can't. My only guess is the fact that I already gave thunderbird permission to my google account when I set it up before adding tbsync.

That worked thank you. I can't believe that I overlooked that.

You'll also need the Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV add-on for Thunderbird. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/dav-4-tbsync/

Install it, and then use TBSync to set up your Google Calendar.

I want to thank you for the help and I should have mentioned that I also have Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV installed and the problem persists.
