When I click on a link, Firefox opens the link in a new window, even though I have "Open links in tabs instead of new windows" checked in Options. I want links to open in a new tab in the same window. I'm updated to the most current version of Firefox, too. How can I fix it?

Thanks, Leah

You can check these prefs on the about:config page.

Normal Links:

  • browser.link.open_newwindow
    1:current tab; 2:new window; 3:new tab;

JavaScript Links:

  • browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction
    0:divert always; 1:divert never; 2:divert no features

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can click the button to "Accept the Risk and Continue".
