Link does not work

more options

while surfing on a web site, I find a link to open a PDF. When I click on the link, the screen blinks but no new TAB appears, nor does the Link for the target PDF display the PDF. If I right click on the LINK to open the target in a new tab, ... nothing happens!

This function works fine with Google Chrome however.

Why not with Firefox?

How to fix it please?

Hi Charles, sometimes Firefox is set to automatically save PDFs. If you click the Download button on the toolbar, does it show that any PDF downloads have occurred? Or use Ctrl+J to open the Downloads list.

The following article describes how to review and update your preference for how to open PDFs: View PDF files using Firefox’s built-in viewer.

However, if Open in Firefox doesn't work, there are some other things to check next.
