I'm on Windows 10, firefox version 90.0.2. I can still minimize Firefox, just that the "flat line" minimize icon is missing. When I hover over it, a grey square still appears as per normal, but the icon is gone.

Ok the problem magically fixed itself after a restart (which is strange considering I've restarted before and the problem persisted). I also got what appears to be a new "Restore Down" icon. Super weird, but the problem is resolved.

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Also I tried the troubleshoot mode a few hours ago before the restart, and the problem was still there.

Hi billiegatesftw,

Try Refreshing your Browser:-

  • To do this, click the menu button at the top right corner of the Firefox window.
  • Click the “Help” option near the bottom of the menu.
  • Click the “Troubleshooting Information” option in the Help menu.
  • Click the “Refresh Firefox” button at the top right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page.
  • You’ll be warned that this will remove your browser add-ons, reset your customizations, and revert other browser data to the default settings. Click “Refresh Firefox” to confirm you want to make these changes.
