All of a sudden Thunderbird tells me that my password is invalid. This is the same password that I used to then go to the aol.com page put in the same password and my emails come up. I have not changed my password in thunderbird. It will not let me sign in. I don't want to change it in Thunderbird because then it won't match what I have in AOL. Can you please advise? How can Thunderbird all of a sudden tell me my email address is invalid when I did not change it.

Is your account @verizon.net or @aol.com? If it's Verizon, use an app password:
