I've searched all the websites and controls, restarted the Macbook and Firefox, changed preferences, cleared cookies and caches, even searched auto:config to no avail. When I enter or paste a credit card in any web vendor's page, Firefox incorrectly inserts the number with spaces in it so it can't be approved. How can I change settings to get a card entered as a continuous string of numbers with no spaces?

Thanks, Robert

oh yeah, I've tried safe mode too. Maybe it's the Mac itself.

That could be the form filler built into Firefox. Click in the field, enter a character or two and STOP ! Using the arrow keys, highlight an unwanted entry. Then press Shift + Delete

Repeat as needed.
