This morning I somehow corrupted my Logins-json file and now I am missing all my logins and passwords. Is there any way to recover the corrupted file. The last profile backup is from 2018.

What did you do that the logins.json file got corrupted ?

Do you possibly have a logins-backup.json in the profile folder that you can use instead (i.e rename the file to logins.json)? Keep a backup copy of logins.json and logins-backup.json and key4.db.

Note that you should always keep a backup copy when you edit a file. You can open a JSON file in a Firefox tab to ensure that the file is proper JSON.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
