How do I add bookmarks to Focus? I went to [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-web-page-shortcuts-your-home-scr...] which was worthless.

I know Focus doesn't have bookmarks, but according to the above page I can create a link to a page on my Home screen. Unfortunately, the process isn't articulated. Second, I don't want to bookmark an Internet Link. I want to link to an .html page I created title My Bookmarks I created which is stored on my cell phone. Again, unfortunately, I can't find any want to access my cell phone in either Focus or Firefox in order to create such a Home screen link.

For others interested the process up to the above blockage is simple. On you computer (doesn't seem to work in the cell phone) go to your browser and backup you bookmarks to an .html file. Give it a name and it is a page of all your links. You can go into and organize, clean, rearrange, or reduce as you want in most editors.

Now, let's figure out how to get that page recognized and opened by Focus. Any help???

Chosen solution

I found a workaround.

I have a couple of websites. You may have a Facebook or Twitter account that can work (I don't use them and don't know).

I created an html backup of my regular desktop computer links. It creates a page of links that can be edited in several programs. I then created a "NEW" page on one of my sites. It's not in the menu structure so is "hidden".

Since I will only want these links when I'm online I figured if I had a direct link on Home page it would save me from typing everything in each time AND provide all my personal links.

IT WORKED!! I then had to turn off Firefox and Chrome so only Focus was working. Once I went to the online link page the first time I went to the three vertical dots in the upper right and created a link on my Home page. It auto-loads with Focus so when I tap the icon Focus loads my bookmarks. After reinstalling Firefox and enabling Chrome it still auto-opens with Focus.

Finally, my bookmarks for easy access inside security enhanced Focus.

Hi

The article you mentioned will certainly help you to save shortcuts to the Android home screen.

You may wish to try Firefox for Android that has a more complete bookmark solution. It also allows you to save shortcuts to the Android home screen and has a private browsing mode.

Seburo,

Thanks for the effort, but it's not an answer.

Please reread the question and you'll see I don't want to link to an Internet site. I want to link to a file on my cell phone. As for Firefox, as much as I love and have used Firefox for many years, I'm wanting to use Focus, which is supposed to be the best in security. Otherwise, why does Mozilla even promote Focus? Also, I can't get Firefox to create a link on my Home page to a file on my cell phone. Once I have that, I can open it with Focus and have my private links available.
