unable to send emails, using outlook, I get a unable to connect to server
The last few days I have been unable to send email. I do receive them though. I am using outlook.com for email, and I have contacted outlook to confirm any issues. They point me to the client as I have no restrictions with outlook.
A couple of emails went out 2 days ago, bu I haven't been able to send any for 3-4 days now. All my settings have been checked and double checked and are correct. This is the message I get:
Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp-mail.outlook.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.
As I say, my settings are correct, and outlook says I have no issues with the account.
Please help. Is this a bug as i have been sending emails with no issues up to 3-4 days ago. The new version has been installed and not corrected the issue.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately it turns out it is the Surfshark VPN causing the issue. I have nothing but trouble with surfshark since I installed it and their support has not been able to solve any of my issues.
Once surfshark is turned off the emails work as they should. I have had to switch VPN's to solve the issue.Skaityti atsakymą kartu su kontekstu 👍 0

For my outlook.com account, I use outlook.office365.com for the smtp server.
