Firefox's screenshare limitations are completely outside of Restream's control - that's how Firefox built their browser.
I asked Restream support: I have been using Firefox and the screen sharing doesn't allow for the desktop audio to be shared, and I have to use the atrocious google chrome browser to share the screen with the audio (yuck), but I do not like google chrome, and how can I have the popup ask if I want to share the desktop audio on the Firefox browser as well? it only pops up asking which screen or application I would like to use but not if audio should be shared as well. ive tried restarting the browser after clearing cookies and permissions and still nothing.
The restream rep countered with: That is a limitation of Firefox, unfortunately. Different browsers allow different levels of screenshare permissions and Firefox is a lot more limiting than Chrome for some reason. Firefox's screenshare limitations are completely outside of Restream's control - that's how Firefox built their browser. For any feedback on that, I recommend reaching out to them directly.
They also advised if feedback on how the feature is supposed to work to use this article that shows how it works on Chrome: https://support.restream.io/en/articles/4341908-restream-studio-screensharing-feature

It could be as they mentioned since this is a non-profit small organization created Browser they would stand to not have the financial backing as Chrome from Google parent company to do such implementation of software. And could be that is the only way to use but through Chrome.
If so you might have to make or fill a request as such.
