Unable to receive emails on this device.
Am having a problem with my quota reaching max in Optus webmail and in the process of attempting to sort this under directio from Optus I am now not able to receive of send email on this device. A second device that I have set up is thankfully working. If I uninstall and reinstall will I lose my contacts list?

No. the contacts list (address book) is separate entity and not affiliated with accounts.
