I've used Norton Safe Search on FireFox for years with no problem. But few weeks back, when I use Safe Search, it does no longer brings back the green checks indicating the site is safe. It works with Edge, but not with FireFox. I've contacted Norton and still waiting to get a response. Anyone have idea as to what is going on and how to fix it?

thanks -

Hi Linda, I haven't used Norton Safe Search service. A couple questions:

(1) Are you getting your search results on the Norton/Ask site, or on a different site? For example:

https://nortonsafe.search.ask.com/web?q=firefox

(2) Is the Norton Safe Web add-on currently active? You may see an icon for it on your main Firefox toolbar, or on the Extensions menu (puzzle piece icon).

Ref. Manage your extensions using the extensions button in the toolbar

jscher2000 - I am using https://search.norton.com/? and page shows Norton Safe Search. I also have Norton safe Web installed - - however, it will not let me install Norton Home Page - every time I try, I get error "install failed, try again".

Thank you for your response - wondering if there is a better antivirus than Norton out there, that I should switch to?

thank you for responding -
