wont let me install the new version says i havent restarted the computer which i have about 4 times..

Deleted the old version through the control panel.....and went to reinstall the new version and it keeps telling me to restart computer.. I have done this about 4 times but it still wont let me install the new vversion of firefox

This can occur if Firefox can not find the profile folder or the profile folder is locked. Try the options on this page - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_in_use

Start with the sections on "Remove the profile lock file" and "Check the profile folder name and location"

If you are trying for a completely clean installation with no bookmarks or passwords, you can completely remove the profile folder as shown in the "Removing user profile data" section of this page - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
