On N900 I do not know how to find text on a web page - equivalent of CTRL-F on desktop.

I think the title explains it well.

On most desktop browsers I am able to press ctrl-f and I get the search box. On Mobile Firefox on N900 nothing happens. CTRL-F is not listed on the N900 shortcuts page. I googled for it and searched this forums - nothing.

Is that functionality in the browser at all?

Here's an extension that adds a "Find in Page" feature to Firefox 1.1 for Maemo: https://addons.mozilla.org/af/mobile/addon/130877/

...or you can download the Firefox 4 beta for Maemo, which has a built-in Find In Page command: http://www.mozilla.com/mobile/download

If you have trouble installing Firefox 4 beta, see this page for some help: http://talk.maemo.org/forumdisplay.php?f=41
