Did you set your own Google homepage?

In Firefox 4.0 the old Google/Firefox isn't used. The default homepage is now about:home, a "local page" that looks like the former default homepage but isn't online.

No I didn't. How would I set Google as the homepage?

Thanks

Set your home page to http://www.google.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official (this was the page used in earlier versions). This should get you what you want.

Since I use Google Maps and News constantly, I'm also unhappy with the new Firefox start page. But rather than revert to the old Firefox page I made Google my home page. It's essentially the same thing only cuter. You can make any page, or multiple pages, your home page; search "set home page" in the search box above.

If you dislike Google's new "Instant" feature, use this URL as your home page: http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=0&hl=en
