Why does the Bookmarks login fail to respond?

I am running FF 3.6.16 on a Mac G4 laptop. As of two days ago the bookmarks login window will not respond. I can open the login window, type in my Username & Password but when I click on the login option, nothing happens.

You do not need to log in to see your Firefox Bookmarks. Are you using another Bookmarks program, if so, what is it?
