Want to move bookmarks from old to new computer. I did the "help" thing about moving bookmarks and backing up and restoring them.. and tried copying them.. .. nothing worked. I was actually successful in putting a copy of the file into my new "word" computer.. but how do I get it into the Bookmark area.

Firefox creates a personal profile folder for you that contains your bookmarks, history, saved passwords, and add-ons.

This article describes how to find your profile folders: Profiles | How to | Firefox Help. You can copy the old folder to a USB drive or other shared media accessible by both computers.

This article describes the various contents of the folder:Recovering important data from an old profile, and how to transfer them.

If you want to transplant all settings from computer #1 to computer #2, you can copy the contents of your profile folder from computer #1 to your profile folder on computer #2 (replacing all the files in there). This might be easier than picking out the individual parts you want.

Hope this helps.
