I loaded Firefox while on my school browser and it opened without a problem. When I switched to my browser at home it would not load saying it took to long. I opened my security and listed Firefox as an exception but no success. I reinstalled Firefox at home but still no success.

go to TOOLS then OPTIONS then ADVANCED tab then NETWORK tab then in CONNECTIONS session click SETTINGS and click auto-detect proxy settings for this network then click OK to save it, close the Options menu, exit firefox and restart-it.
