Running Win 7 home premium on an Athlon II x2. Words with Friends on FaceBook wouldn't load. Spinning circle wait symbol forever. Went to Tools>Options>Advanced>Updates>Show Update History. It showed 10.0 installed today. Went to Help>About. It showed 9.0.1, with an 'Apply Update' button. Clicked it, let FireFox restart. WWF now works, but Help>About still shows 9.0.1 & the button, followed by 'You are currently on the release update channel.

If you are having problems with Firefox Updates, best for you is to do a Clean Reinstall of Firefox.

-> Uninstall your current Firefox - Uninstall Firefox from your computer

  • DO NOT SELECT TO REMOVE USER DATA AND SETTINGS
  • Restart your system

-> How to install Firefox on Windows

Check and tell if its working.

After you have installed latest Firefox, make sure to Update All your Firefox Plugins

  • When Downloading Plugins Update setup files, Remove Checkmark from Downloading other Optional Softwares with your Plugins (e.g. Toolbars, McAfee, Google Chrome, etc.)
