When I type in a URL, I should be able to hit enter and go to the web site. This no longer works. Instead, I must click on the small arrow at the end of the URL bar.
If I type in a few letters of a website name that I visit, the drop-down appears with the full website name. I used to be able to just click on the name & Firefox would take me there. Now, the name appears in the bar, but I have to go over to the end of the bar and click on the arrow to actually go to the page.

If you have AVG Safe Search Extension enabled, disable it, and try again.

Hi chrisnjoe,
I'd try starting Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit.
Hopefully this helps!

Disabling AVG didn't work for me... :-( Any other ideas?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

The ENTER key will work with the latest version of AVG. I have AVG 2612.0.1913, AVG Safe Search 12.0.0.1912, FF10.0.2 and Windows XP SP3. The "Enter Key" works. So make sure you update your AVG to the latest version (2612.0.1913), then enable AVG Safe Search in FF add-on again.
Ha! Awesome. Worked like a charm. Thank you!
