Hi stamey2,

It sounds like you've just turned on VoiceOver. It's pretty easy to fix, so don't panic. Just go to System Preferences->Universal Access->Seeing on your Mac. You'll be able to turn VoiceOver off there. You can also enable/disable VoiceOver usually by pressing cmd + F5.
