Hi,

It could be an add-on. Please note that add-ons installed outside of AMO may not be always safe. You can try creating a new profile and copy important personal data like the bookmarks (places.sqlite), passwords (key3.db + signons.sqlite) to the new profile and delete the old profile. Firefox stores the personal data separate from its internal files.

It looks like another application could be installing extras into a newly created profile (it could be a genuine extension/plugin from the AppData\Local\Mozilla Extensions or plugins or in Program Files\Mozilla Firefox). You can also try to do a thorough scan of the system. You can also try to submit this object to ESET because if its a false alarm you may know it within one or two days when ESET is updated and the alarm goes away.

user\dj\appdata\local\mozilla\firefox\profi\this is the only one i can see yozxgd16.default

i did a full scan and for some reason that file dos not show up so i think its an active html but i cant find it

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs. You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

Profile is a folder which store all your personal data in a safe place

Here explain how to backup profile

Here explain how to restore it

Hi again,

As Swarnava has noted, please try this: install Firefox on the laptop and open the profile folder via Firefox Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information > Open Containing Folder. On the desktop too, Open Containing Folder and copy and overwrite the relevant files to the opened folder on the laptop. For eg. to copy the history + bookmarks you would copy and overwrite the places.sqlite file from the desktop folder into the laptop folder. Likewise for the other files.

BTW: Is the ESET warning still appearing??

but my cache file on laptop is 900mb my sqlite 45mb

desktop cache 29kb and sqlite 5mb

i was trying to make a copy of my cache file but windows vista wont let me do it it freezes at 50%

You can try starting Firefox and check if everything is okay. Temporarily suspending the antivirus may help to finish the copying. Please also see this.
