While using facebook, when I click to activate a comment box, the current tab I am using closes (window and all other tabs remain unchaged) and firefox opens facebook in a second window. the second window opens to the exact page I was on, plus the box i was going to comment in is active and ready to use. This only happens when using facebook.

Hi Donovan,

This is indeed strange. Have you tried to replicate the issue in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode?

It seems to me that the behavior could be related to an add-on.

If Safe Mode helps, then indeed, an add-on is breaking Facebook for you. To learn what's the one, disable all of them, and start activating them one by one until you find the one that causes the undesired behavior.

Let me know if this helps or Safe Mode doesn't and we can explore other routes.

Hey to you too,lbai.

Thanks for the help. This doesn't happen all the time, two, three times a day, so pinpointing it may take some time. I'll give it a go and see what happens.
