My home page constantly reverts to a shareaza search engine even though i have uninstalled every trace of shareaza i can find.

I have recently come back to firefox from chrome

i uninstalled shareaza whilst still on chrome and had no issues with setting my homepage

Have you looked in your profile to see if there is a user.js file in your profile that was not there before?

You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

Note that Windows may be hiding the .js file extension, so you may only see a prefs file and a possible user file.
