hello todde, can you explain in a bit more detail what is going wrong?

One day i could not use YouTube to watch my videos because of the buffering. After a Google search i find a tip that worked but one has to do it over and over again all the time. Turn of the proxy in the settings helped. But i have to do it all the time.

The problem is that firefox is to slow or sluggish...

Firefox have been my browser for ages now but i can't work like this. So i'm giving up.

hi again, have you tried to reset firefox yet? this is a quick-fix for many issues (non-sticking preferences are one of those) and may well work in your case...

No after i read about the problem is comming back even after a reset i gave up on that idea as well. As i wrote i can't find anything from Mozilla that tells me that they have fixed the problem.

it is strange that the proxy settings would change back on their own - do you use any external anonymizing tools for example? maybe it would also help when you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum as this might give a clue what is going on...

Experimentella funktioner

nothing that stands out there - one more thing you could try is to opt into youtube's html5 player at http://www.youtube.com/html5 to work around issues with the flash plugin...

But why should i, Firefox has worked fine all years. Both on my mobile and on my pc it fails me now days. :)

News videos on my phone using firefox is no go at all, have to use Chrome so watch them.

And now this problem with Firefox on PC. :(

You can try to disable OMTC and leave hardware acceleration in Firefox enabled.
