I blocked 2 websites which had began accessing the companies mexican version with (.mex) in the address. I believed that if I blocked the .mex addresses, I would be able to access the U.S. version as I regularly do and the normal websites would not be hijacked again. However, it blocked all access to both websites. How do I unblock the english version and block the mexican websites? It just started doing this at the beginning of the year.

What is the web address you want to use, and the other address? Where are you, in the same area as the other address?

You need to check the settings in the Block site 1.1.8 extension if you blocked the website that way.

Hi FredMcD The websites I tried to block were homedepot.mx.com and lowes.mx.com. I am in the US so I have no idea why the .mx started coming up in the address. After this happened continually, I decided the only way to remedy it was to block both websites with .mx in the address using Tools. I had to do this last year for another website that suddenly began accessing the website in Australia and after blocking it I was able to get to the regular website. I use these websites often to order items for renovations. This is driving me crazy. Please help.

I typed in the normal addresses homedepot.com and lowes.com but the homedepot.com.mx and lowes.com.mx websites open instead. I have tried blocking the sites using Hosts on my computer but that doesn't work. I do have lowes.com.mx IP address now (which orignates in TX), but don't know what program to use for blocking using the IP. Has my computer been compromised by these .com.mx websites? I have also used add-on WWW block-websites to block through Firefox and this doesn't work. Thank you.

Blocking those sites will not help. We need to find the cause FredMcD said
