Session restore option now showing up after Mozilla Firefox 38.0 update (Mac OS X)
Since I moved to Firefox 38.0, I don't see the option "restore previous session" on home page after I exit firefox. I also tried to hit "restore previous session" from the history but its disabled. Today, I saw there was a new version from Mozilla (firefox 39.0) so I downloaded and installed that but the issue is still there, why does such a simple thing is not fixed by Mozilla. Can someone help me with that.
OS - MAC OS X 10.9.5 (13F34) Mozilla Firefox - 39.0

hello, what are your settings in the privacy section of the firefox options? Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track
Its setup to "Remember history"
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes".
- do not clear the Browsing History
- Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/remove-recent-browsing-search-and-download-history
- Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
- Clearing Cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep.
I am not using Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" :(
