I found this in archived questions. Supposedly 'solved'. But I have been having this same problem for several months. We tried all the 'solutions' you suggested and NONE fixed the problem. Every time I use firefox I get the message "firefox can't find the server". It suggests I "try again" and I do...up to 25 times sometimes before it 'finds' the desired website. I do not have this problem with Internet Explorer.

If you see that message when you start up, or when you launch a new window (Ctrl+n), then Firefox is not successfully loading your home page, or a page substituted by an add-on.

If you use the address bar to load a different page, or a bookmark, or the search bar, are any of those able to connect?

If Firefox can't connect to anything:

Please see this article for suggested next steps: Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can.

If those other methods work:

It sounds as though there is a problem with your home page. When you look at the address bar on the page with the error, what address is listed there?

To change your home page setting, try the steps in either of these articles:

You can test the new setting by launching a new window.

Any improvement so far?
