On a form input text box such as password or search box, the cursor sits outside and can't input anything. Looks like the firefox's input focus offset too far and won't respond to any thing you type. This is happening in Win 7 and does not happen in win 10 or Chrome, Edge, or CM browser.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via *"3-bar" menu button > Exit (Power button)

  • Windows: File > Exit
  • Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox
  • Linux: File > Quit

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?

You don't see it...guessing you don't use Firefox? Very obvious! Click any where.

No other browsers does this... only firefox.

All the updates seems like blank updates... just fool users to get free donation money? Only updated is more junk features(taking up valuable screen space and bandwidth) and fancy homepage video.

Please hire an adult UI designers. UI should be simple and easy...it's only a browser and not that complex! Get rid of the fancy layout and network hogging bad features....stop copying bad designs ideas from Chrome.
